What to Expect
February is a powerful time for deep reflection and moving forward with renewed wisdom. Days are visibly lengthening; roots deepen into the nourishing earth preparing for the burst of spring. Winter invites us to store energy and enhance circulation as we embrace the transformations occurring all around us.
During the retreat Acupuncturist Nicky Douglas will help us understand the pathways of energy, or meridians, that weave through the body, and influence our mental, physical and emotional health.
Sue will guide you through healing yet gentle Qigong routines, peaceful-mind meditations and loving-kindness practices. The spacious beauty of Trigonos will soon become a sanctuary for you — and a refuge of peace, kindness and calm you can carry back into everyday life.

About the Facilitator
Sue Weston has been practicing and teaching mindfulness, T’ai-Chi and Qigong for many years and has PG Diploma in Mindfulness Studies from Aberdeen University and Samyé College.
Formerly a dancer, choreographer and movement teacher she has worked nationally and internationally in film, TV and theatre. Sue was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2006 for her work over several years in Sri Lanka supporting humanitarian causes. In 1999/2000 she spent a year in retreat on Holy Isle to deepen her meditation practice under the guidance of Lama Rinchen, Akong Rinpoche and Lama Yeshe. Sue started her T’ai-Chi training 1986 with Dr John Kells and subsequently trained in Qigong with Dr Binkum Hu and more recently with Lee Holden.
Sue offers year-round regular T’ai-Chi, Qigong and mindfulness classes, as well as occasional full-day workshops on Zoom and in her studio at Mill House Farm. Other teaching includes schools, hospitals, prisons and the workplace. Each year Sue facilitates the Qigong & Meditation Retreat on Holy Isle, Scotland. Sue continues to attend retreats and teachings with her precious teachers to support and deepen her own practice.
