About the Facilitators
Roseanne Preston
Roseanne has been teaching Yoga, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra for more than fifty years. She has been teaching Tai Chi and Qi Gong for almost thirty years. Her Yoga qualifications began under Howard Kent at the Yoga for Health Foundation in Ickwell Bury in Bedfordshire. They continued under the auspices of The British Wheel of Yoga. Roseanne’s personal teacher of Tai Chi and Qi Gong was Helen Madden, who inspired her to become deeply involved in the two disciplines, culminating in a qualification with The Red Dragon School in Hereford. Roseanne has been a long term disciple of Eugene Halliday and Khen Ratcliffe who founded the International Hermeneutic Society (IHS) and, until recently, a long-time supporter and teacher at Tan-y-Garth Hall in Chirk. She has also been a long term follower of the teachings of Ram Dass (Richard Alpert), having met him on several occasions, including at the Peace Conference in Berlin when the guest speaker was the Dalai Lama. Roseanne has been a regular speaker at several branches of the Theosophical Society and has led international seminars in many European countries including Germany, Spain, Italy, and Greece.
Christian Handschug
Christian started to learn Qi Gong and Tai Chi in Leipzig in 1997 and is teaching Falun Gong, the Eight Brocades and Qi Gong Breathing. He often teaches alongside Roseanne at her classes. He is a member and for some time was the chair of the International Hermeneutic Society (IHS). He met Amma in 1997 and is a long-time supporter and follower of Amma and her teachings. Both Roseanne and Christian have spent time in Amma’s ashram at Kerala in India.
