Mindfulness Teaching Practice and Development

Thursday 26th July – Thursday 2nd August 2018
with Sarah Silverton

Cost: £495 per person plus accommodation costs payable directly to Trigonos.

This training is designed especially for people who work in school settings but is also open to others who work with general populations or in other workplace settings.

Having completed initial curriculum training and perhaps taught a few times now, this training week offers valuable time to deepen and develop both your personal and teaching practice. The course will help you build confidence, understanding and skills in the curriculum or curricula you have been trained to deliver in a supportive environment. You will be able to explore elements of the curriculum/curricula you teach (such as Paws b, .b, The Present, MBCT, MBSR, Breathworks, Finding Peace in a Frantic World and/or .b Foundations) practising teaching in small groups and taking part in whole group practices, skills practice and discussions.

Teaching and receiving others’ teaching is a wonderful way to grow as a mindfulness practitioner and teacher. We continue to learn throughout the years that we teach mindfulness. This learning can be rich, supportive – and even surprising – allowing the learning we offer others about mindfulness to deepen, broaden and become more alive.

Sarah has been teaching and training in mindfulness-based approaches for about 20 years and was a member of the CMRP core training team since CMRP was established in 2001. She has received MBCT training from Mark Williams and attended a nine week MBSR Intern Programme at Centre For Mindfulness, Massachusetts, USA in 1999 studying with Jon Kabat-Zinn, Melissa Blacker and Florence Meleo-Meyer (amongst others). She has co-authored Paws b(KS2), .b Foundations (adults) and, most recently, The Present (primary school, ages 3-11years) curricula.
