Griefkeepers Gathering

22 – 25 September 2018
This retreat is open to all those working in the field of death, dying and bereavement who feel called to gather with kindred spirits.

A space to come and rest; to gather with kindred spirits drawn towards working in the field of grief. Let us lament and keen, let us share our stories, let us nestle into deep and sacred silence together, let us heal in the presence of that great leveller…. let us also dance, let us laugh, let us embrace the wholeness of this human experience.

What more perfect a spot could we gather than the stunning Nantlle Valley in Snowdonia? A land swathed in mists and myths, the rock beneath us layered with loss and life itself. You will be welcomed to the sumptuous Trigonos Retreat Centre for 3 nights; arriving on the late afternoon of Saturday and departing after breakfast on the Tuesday. The programme will take form as we get nearer the time; we know that it will include song, sound and silence, sharing, talks and workshops, time to relax and swim in the lake, and evenings of dancing, singing and friendship.

The cost of the retreat is £395 all inclusive. A deposit of £150 secures your place, the balance can be paid in monthly instalments with any remainder owed payable before the start of the retreat.

Who are we? Awen and Alexandra together form the Wild Doula partnership and in the summer of this year we launched the Red Tent End of Life Doula Preparation training in collaboration with Nicola Goodall of the Red Tent Doula Prep. We were drawn to each other and to this work with a passion to bring all matters concerning death, dying and bereavement back into our communities. We were already aware, but by launching the end of life doula training we have been completely reassured, we are part of a zeitgeist, a movement, a great re-awakening of our times – and this is a community in and of itself and we would like to invite this community to gather on, at least, an annual basis; if not more often. This retreat at Trigonos is open to anyone who works in the field of Grief including but not limited to the students and mentors of the Red Tent End of Life doula preparation course.
