Accommodation is of a high standard and all bedrooms are warm and comfortable.
Sheets and duvet covers are pure cotton; towels are provided.
Some rooms are suitable for people with disabilities. 

We can accommodate 29 people in 19 bedrooms: 11 en-suite and 8 non en suite. 
For larger groups (up to 38 people) extra beds can be put in some rooms.

The main house with views of the lake and mountains or gardens. 
All bedrooms are on the first floor and en suite (with either a bath or a shower).

In a wing of the Plas, but with a separate entrance. Rooms have views of gardens.
Bedrooms have a shared shower and toilet.

COURTYARD (en suite)

These rooms are in a single storey building and open directly onto a courtyard. 
All are en suite (with bath and shower attachment and grab-rails), on the ground floor and with wide doors suitable for wheelchair users. One room is fitted with a walk-in shower.

In a single storey building accessed from the Courtyard. 
Bedrooms share 2 showers and 2 toilets.

All guests are welcome to use the sitting room and the library in Plas Baladeulyn, during their free time. Both have an open log fire, lit on cold winter evenings.

Trigonos is an environmentally friendly conference centre in Snowdonia providing residential facilities for education and training events, small conferences and retreats. Situated in the beautiful Nantlle Valley with stunning views of Snowdon and the Nantlle Ridge, we offer:

  • flexible meeting and break-out rooms, all with good natural light and ventilation and views of gardens or mountains
  • accommodation for up to 29 people in single and twin bedrooms, most en-suite
  • a full range of equipment, broadband internet access and quality colour printing and photocopying

A range of equipment is available to all our groups, at no extra charge:
Flipcharts, OHP, TV/video/DVD player and tape/CD player. A piano is available in the gallery. 

We have wi-fi internet access available in the visitor's office area.

A small charge is made for photocopying.

Trigonos has a reputation for serving delicious home-made food. We provide nutritious and tasty meals with an emphasis on fresh, unprocessed ingredients and seasonal homegrown produce.

Our focus is on vegetarian meals but we can alternate these with meat dishes on request, a £1.50 meat supplement per person per day will apply. Special dietary requirements are imaginatively catered for. Meals are eaten in the dining room with views of the lake and mountains and visitors serve themselves from a buffet-style table.

Breakfast - A choice of cereals, muesli and breads; homemade jams and marmalade, preserved and fresh fruits, fruit juice, cheeses, teas and fresh coffee.

Lunch - Varies according to the season, eg. homemade soup and bread, with homemade quiche or cold meats, salads; cheese board; fresh fruit; and teas and filter coffee.

Dinner - The main meal of the day: a substantial main course, followed by dessert, cheese and biscuits, fresh fruit, teas and coffee.

Drinks - A wide variety or teas, caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee and coffee substitutes are available to residents at all times. Trigonos is not licensed to sell alcohol but visitors are welcome to bring their own wines, beers and spirits. Wine glasses are provided.

MEALTIMES

Our usual mealtimes are: Breakfast 8 - 9am, Lunch 1pm, Evening meal 7pm. Alternative times can be arranged.

FOOD POLICY

We are members of the Wholesome Food Association and committed to growing food without the use of pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilizers and according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture. We avoid processed and GM foods, and are continually increasing our sourcing of local, organic and fair trade produce.

SPECIAL DIETS

Trigonos has a wide experience of catering for all kinds of special dietary requirements. To help us do this we have given definitions for how we interpret the most regularly requested special diets:

  • Vegetarian - No meat, chicken, fish or any products derived from slaughtered animals (rennet, gelatine, lard, fish oils, etc.)
  • Vegan - No product as listed above AND no product from any living animal such as milk (cows', goats' or ewes'), cheese, eggs, cream, lactose, honey, etc.
  • Wheat-free - No product containing wheat in any form BUT other grains, eg rye, oats, barley, etc, allowed
  • Gluten-free - No product containing gluten, such as wheat, oats, spelt, rye. Suitable starches are buckwheat, millet, rice and potatoes
  • Dairy Free - No cows' milk or cows' milk products (lactose, cheese made from cows milk, butter, milk solids, etc) BUT goats' and sheeps' cheese allowed. We always have milk alternatives available eg rice or soya drink.
  • Other requirements - can also be catered for and, if necessary, added to the definitions above. If you are uncertain whether we can cater for you, please send a query via your group organiser.

Please inform your group organiser if you have a special diet giving at least 7 days notice. We cannot guarantee being able to cater for your needs without this notice.

Full board includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, afternoon tea with cake and tea/coffee as required.
Prices are based on a vegetarian menu. A £1.50 supplement per person per day will be charged for those requesting meat based meals.

PRICING POLICY

Trigonos is a not-for-profit company. There are no owners, shareholders or distributed profits. We set our prices according to what is needed to offer a high standard of service and maintain the organisation and its work. We recognise that some groups may have difficulty in meeting our charges and our policy is to offer a discount to certain groups. The following may be eligible for a discount:

  • Schools and other educational institutions with very limited resources;
  • Smaller charities, voluntary associations and not-for-profit agencies.

Note: Trigonos is not registered for VAT and VAT is not chargeable.

Payments:

We accept cash, cheques, bank transfers, travellers cheques and bank drafts. We regret we do not accept credit or debit cards. 

To avoid additional charges please use one of the following payment methods: UK bank transfer, cheque or cash.

If making payment from abroad please make a bank draft made payable to TRIGONOS in GBP (pounds sterling) only.
